July 11, 2009: Charlie Howard Remembered
On Saturday July 11th, the Ugly Ducklings documentary will be shown as a part of the Charlie Howard Remembered event in Bangor. A discussion will follow the screening.
Ugly Ducklings will be shown at 11am at the Hammond Street Congregational Church, UCC, 28 High Street.
The screening is part of a week long series of events memorializing Howard's death.November Trainings
Hardy Girls Healthy Women and Communities for Children and Youth (C4CY) will host four day-long workshops, which will provide practical tools to help individuals and organizations use the Community Action Kit as a catalyst for change in their communities. Designed to educate and inspire people to take action against bias-based bullying and harassment of LGBTQ youth, the Ugly Ducklings Community Action Kit combines the Ugly Ducklings documentary with educational materials, activities, and resources to help educators, parents, and community organizers create safe and empowering environments for LGBTQ youth and their allies.
